Learning Systems Analysis Pty Ltd offers short courses designed to support the professional certification program of the Simulation Industry Association of Australia (SIAA).

The next SIAA 'Introduction to Simulation in Australia' course is planned for Melbourne in November 2009 (visit http://www.siaa.asn.au/activities_training.html for details).  Learning Systems Analysis plans to offer the following short courses in 2010: 

Instructional Systems Development and Simulation (Date TBA)    This one-day course provides an introduction to training analysis, design, conduct and evaluation for simulation.  The course is applicable to trainers who have a basic understanding of simulation concepts and who want to better understand the application of modern principles of instructional systems development to simulation.  The course is also applicable to individuals working in the field of simulation who have non-training backgrounds, but who want to better understand principles of training that are relevant to simulation.  This course completes SIAA professional certification requirements for the Instructional Systems skill group and may be used to earn Currency Units for other skill groups.  Cost $495

TNA for Simulation (Dates TBA)    This two-day course covers underpinning theories and models of learning and instruction, analysis of training contexts, development of baseline training concepts, and evaluation of options for simulation.  The course is applicable to people who have a basic understanding of simulation concepts and technologies and who want to be able to define the instructional functionality required of a simulation in terms of fidelity, instructional support features and an overarching concept of training.  This course supports SIAA professional certification at Practitioner level for the Instructional Systems skill group and may be used to earn Currency Units for other skill groups.  Cost $990
